Great presentation! Very true. I like the point of emphasis on BEing CAREFUL and following the rules of branding. Good job!
In spite of numerous attempts to measure engagement or ROI, there is still no standard calculation for the efforts of social media at the individual and commercial level. Many are still trying to develop their own ability to do so.
I totally agree with social media. As a business person, I would rather invest with something were I can get exposure. Social Media is the best marketing strategy. With this effective strategy, I just don’t limit my target market within my area.
We should always be CAREFUL in every decision we make. Going into any business is a risky step in a career. Carefully examined steps on this venture is indeed very important to ensure continuity of one’s business journey.
@Lance you are right. ROI will never be measured through social media as easily as it is through traditional search and banner advertising. The culmination of all these efforts must equate to increased revenues and profits, but many of the benefits of social media take a long time to kick in. Patience and persistence are essential to find your way to profits with social media.
I have seen a lot and great examples of small business using social media effectively. Just like food chains promoting new menu items.
But these businesses should approach social media cautiously. You have to make sure that your targets are using it so you wont be wasting your time and money. And also be aware of competitors around you…
