I love Laughing Squid, it’s great that Scott Beale is included in your list.
Kudos for including Tyler Cruz in the list. I so love him! FYI, he’s Filipino-American.
Now your list is complete. Where’s Pete Cashmore and Tom Anderson? Why are they not included?
FYI, amongst all gurus here, Cashmore was recently interviewed by CNN to talk about Web Trends for 2010. I can’t believe Tyler Cruz is on the list and Peter Cashmore isn’t? This sucks!
@Tabitha Chisolm – I totally agree with you that Cashmore should be on this list.
But over-all, I like this list. You may have missed some smart guys out there but hey, this is just your opinion.
Pete Cashmore doesn’t need to be in any list, everyone already knows he’s smart.
Shel Holz is a *serious* omission from this list, especially as you’ve included his For Immediate Release colleague Neville Hobson.
I’m awed by my inclusion in a list of such illustrious social media professionals.. Like Brendan Cooper, I see my friend (and client) Shel Holtz as a serious omission, along with Lena West … no doubt, given time, I could also think of man others.
Any attempt at a list like this will inevitably overlook many deserving folks. I hope fans will come and add their favorites to the comments, add themselves (it’s okay to brag – I know many of you desever to do so), or invite other comments on the topic. Much thanks, btw, for the mention – I see a few names I need to become more familiar with. Off to twitter to tweet…

Thanks for the acknowledgement. As Yvonne pointed out there many, many other people who have contributed to the work in the social web. Seems like it would make a great crowd sourced project.
